Biography

Clarissa Costanzo studied vocal technique with Renata Scotto and she graduated at Accademia of Teatro alla Scala in 2021.

She performed at Teatro alla Scala for the Bulgari Opera Gala and other concerts and recitals with Sir. Vincent Scalera, Michele D’Elia, Leo Nucci and Michele Pertusi.

She performed at Expo Dubai at the Millennium Amphitheater and the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi with La Scala Orchestra under the baton of Donato Renzetti for Opera Gala Nights.

She was a winner of international competitions like the 54th International Singing Competition Voci Verdiane in Parma, International Singing Competition “Iris Adami Corradetti” and the International Singing Competition "Riccardo Zandonai".

She performed at the prestigious Bregenzer Festspiele in Austria as Elcìa in G. Rossini opera Mosè in Egitto directed by Lotte de Beer under the baton of Enrique Mazzola and she sang the role of Matilde in Guglielmo Tell by Rossini as well staged by Arnaud Bernard under the baton of Carlo Goldstein.

Her repertoire includes the main female characters of Verdi’s opera like Aida, Leonora (“Il trovatore”), Maria Boccanegra (“Simon Boccanegra”), Amelia (“Un ballo in maschera”), Elisabetta di Valois (“Don Carlo”) and others that she performed at Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, Teatro Fraschini di Pavia, Teatro Alighieri di Ravenna, Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti di Modena, Teatro Verdi di Pisa. She collaborated with conductors as Donato Renzetti, Piergiorgio Morandi, Lorenzo Passerini, Massimo Zanetti, James Feddeck, Michele Gamba.

Ms Costanzo debuted the majestic role of Cio Cio San in Madama Butterly and in the title role of Tosca by G. Puccini both directed by Mrs. Scotto.

Her recent debuts included the role of Amalia in Napoli Milionaria by Nino Rota for As.Li.Co Opera Lombardia, Leonora of Il Trovatore by G. Verdi at Sawakami Opera Foundation in Japan conducted by Hirofumi Yoshida and staged by Francesco Bellotto, Giorgetta and Lauretta in Il tabarro and Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini at Teatro Campoamor for Opera Oviedo under the baton of Josè Miguel Perez Sierra. She is going to make her debut as Elisabetta di Valois in Don Carlo under the baton of M° Jacopo Brusa directed by Andrea Bernard and next year she will perform for the first time at the National Center of Performing Arts in Beijing as Amelia of Un ballo in maschera by Giuseppe Verdi in a new production signed by Hugo de Ana.
